In the circle of life, scopes are unlimited – more we try, more we enlarge the circle! To me, riding dad’s bicycle as a kid, 1st on half-pedal, and then stepping up to full pedal was certainly a terrific accomplishment. That too didn’t happen without struggle, he kept saying while waking me up in the morning that “A sleeping fox catches no poultry”. I realized later that it wasn’t a mock but the biggest lesson of life. Thereafter, except pedaling, I never stop riding/exploring. I even put my two feet to run, climb and kept moving ahead 😃.
Now, as I am getting back to the saddle of this geared bike and start pedaling again, it’s feeling like completing a full circle :). The only change is ‘the name and the frame” – a super light German-built Bergamont, Sweep 0.6 with a sweeping realization that life is all about catching up with a bit of Endless Scope we have.
Over the last three months’ practice, the bum has firmly settled on the saddle 😃 and I am ready to burn more miles. Thanks to my cycling inspiration and good friend Joe, Joseph Thomas for getting me this very reliable new age cycle, I am obliged. But, I still miss my dad’s cycle a lot.
